Casper who?

Morning Hunters, The monster we are following this week is none other than ghosts/ spirits. While they are the most well-known type of supernatural entity within the show, they are arguably the most terrifying regarding the shock factor. Ghosts are the spirits of a dead being that can appear before those still living. While I don't necessarily believe in ghosts, I have a healthy fear of them after watching this show. From the show, ghosts are described as dead beings who would have yet to pass on to the afterlife and have just been trapped in the veil between living and dead. The reason ghosts terrify me in the show is that they're not just spirits that can pass through walls; depending on how they died and how strong a spirit is, they have various powers. Some include but are not limited to telekinesis, possession, electrokinesis, biokinesis, pyrokinesis, mental influence, and more. Simply, they can move stuff around, inflict physical harm on the living, possess them, affect ...

Castiel

Evening Hunters, Tonight we will discuss one of the best characters to ever grace the Supernatural screen: Castiel. Castiel is one of the three main characters of the Supernatural series, although we don't meet him until season 4. In season 3, Dean makes a deal with a demon to save Sam, and he only gets a year to live; after the year ends, a hellhound drags him to hell. Suddenly at the beginning of season 4, Dean wakes up in a pine coffin and doesn't have a scratch on him. We find out later that Castiel, an angel of the lord, was sent by God to retrieve Dean from hell. Angels are portrayed kind of how you imagine from the bible in this show, God's soldiers. In the show, angels inhabit human hosts when on earth, and they have to have the human's permission before they can inhabit their form. He brings Dean back to life to help prevent the 66 seals from being broken, which would release Lucifer from his cage in hell which would cause the apocalypse to ensue. Castiel is a...

About The Cursed Rabbits Foot

Afternoon Hunters, One of my favorite episodes of season three of Supernatural, the episode is called "Bad Day at Black Rock." In this episode, the Winchester brothers find out that somebody broke into their father's storage locker, so they go to investigate, and they find, among odds and ends, that one box is missing off the shelf. We later found out that a group of thieves hired by a buyer had taken the box. Just as curiosity gets the best of them and they see what's inside the box, Sam and Dean Track them down and take back the property. It turns out to be a genuine rabbit's foot inside the box. During the scuffle to get it back, Sam gets the foot, and suddenly several lucky moves happen simultaneously in their favor. They win the fight and walk away, and luck seems to rain down on Sam as he has possession of the rabbit's foot. Although they find out later that the rabbit's foot is a cursed object, it'll bring the owner luck for a time, but the mome...

Wheels and Deals

Evening Hunters, So I was just rewatching Supernatural to get content for this blog, and I realized one of my favorite episodes of season two was the one that featured what the show calls "Crossroad Demons." It's from the episode "Crossroad Blues." In the show, a Crossroad Demon is a demon you summon using a voodoo box with your picture and a few other witchcraft objects. Then you bury the box in the middle of four roads that intersect. From there, the demon will appear (they can appear as anyone human or other, but usually regular human), and the summoner can make a request; this can be a wish, desire, or anything you want. But the price for anything is your soul, and you only get ten years to enjoy the wish until a hellhound (big black dog) comes to collect your soul. From what the show describes, once you make the deal, your fate is sealed. The only exception is if someone makes another deal to save your life and sacrifice theirs in your place. When the Hell...
